This album by Skull Fist is some of the best music download you could get from modern times. There's a lot of parallels with the resurgence of thrash and heavy metal in that they both started around the same point and most of the bands are cookie cutter, however a handful of them are in league with the 80's albums they were influenced by. Skull Fist are a heavy/speed metal band which are one of the cream of the crop. Like their main contemporary Enforcer they're a heavy/speed metal band but whereas Enforcer drink heavily from the cup of NWOBHM, Skull Fist, especially on this album, take cues from late 80's American shred/heavy bands.
One band which is a great comparison is Racer X. Imagine Razor X's 80's material but with a louder production, a more competent singer and stronger songs. In other words, great fucking stuff! Like Racer X, there's a significant 80's sheen to the sound but with a good knack for shred work and catchy hooks. This seriously made me take a double take when I first heard it to check whether it was actually released in 2014. It literally sounds like it could have been released in 1989 and unlike the other retro acts, the songs hold up. Well worth a download.

there's no need to consider the skip button. Thankfully the band has
just reunited after the vocalist had briefly left. Let's hope there's
