There's only one Mötley Crüe album that is a must have download and it's this classic from 1983. In a time long, long ago this band were unequivocally metal and this album is perfect proof. Sure after this album the metal wheels slowly started to fall off but here they wear their love of Sabbath proudly on their sleeves. So many kickass riffs that just beat you into submission. Guitarist Nikki Sixx once described the band as a cross between the New York Dolls and Black Sabbath and that's pretty much what you get on show here. Bludgeoning riffs throughout but there's also fast numbers which makes this album a step up in heaviness from the debut.
Not only are there great riffs, the hooks and catchyness is plain to see. Most of the songs will be lodged in your head long after you've finished listening to them. "Looks That Kill" and "Too Young To Fall In Love" were the songs that they made videos for and is clear why as they're the more hook driven songs but they're still metal.

Stand out tracks from the album would definitely be the heavy tracks "Bastard" and "Red Hot", the anthemic title track and "Knock 'Em Dead Kid". The last 2 tracks tend to be a tail off of the quality but they're okay. The album is an easy 8/10 record. Again, it is influenced by glam somewhat but moreso by metal. A record to ram down the ear canals of anyone who thinks glam metal is an oxymoron. Check out a download of the songs I recommended and buy it from Amazon if you dig it.
